MEMORY RECALL
Your second memory.
Every meeting, lecture and call becomes a point of light — transcribed, connected and searchable on your own machine. Move your cursor: the constellation is what your year sounds like.
Your recordings stay on your machine · audio never leaves it
How it works
Record. It files itself. Search your year.
Record
Keep using the recorder you already own. Drop the audio — or a transcript you already have — onto your machine.
It processes on your machine
Transcription, speakers, and search indexes run locally on this computer. You start processing from the app. No screenshot of a real conversation is ever shown here.
Search your whole spoken history
Search a person, a tag, a phrase. The constellation is the same graph the product keeps — voices linked across time, on one machine.
Privacy as architecture
What never leaves your machine
Cloud notetakers upload the recording. Memory Recall does not. Audio stays on the machine you install on.

What can leave your computer
- Site account: email and a one-way password hash, so you can sign in and download the installer.
- Acceptance record: when you accept the terms, a short signed receipt (date, name entered, document fingerprints, install id) is sent to Memory Recall. It contains none of your recordings, transcripts or contacts.
- Optional cloud AI: transcript TEXT only, if you paste a provider key. Audio never goes.
- Optional Hugging Face token: used to download gated speaker models. Not used to upload recordings.
- Optional Google Calendar: if you connect it, the app asks Google directly for your calendar events. Your recordings, transcripts and contacts are never sent to Google.
- Update check: the app reads a version feed. At installation, and when you choose to update, it downloads the software parts it needs from their publishers, and on Windows installation also checks the internet connection using a public Microsoft address. An update check, and a download of an update from us, sends your signed license or lease (its number, type, plan and dates, the computer it is for, how many times it has been moved to another computer, and its signature) so that we can tell which updates this copy may have. A free trial sends neither. It does not upload recordings.
- AI model downloads: when the app first needs a model, it downloads it from its publisher, for example Hugging Face. Your recordings are not uploaded.
- License checks: when your trial starts, when you activate, when the app starts, and about every 12 hours while it runs, to confirm that your license is valid, that it is in use on no more computers than it allows, and that your acceptance of the terms is on record. They send a machine code, one-way hardware codes, the app version, your trial date or your license (its number, type, plan and dates, the computer it is for, how many times it has been moved to another computer, and its signature), and, until it is confirmed, the signed record of your acceptance, which includes the name you accepted with. Never recordings or transcripts.
- Setup and problem messages: the app tells us when it is installed, when your first recording finishes, when processing is stuck, and the kind of error it hit, as a fixed code. Only a copy on a free trial or a pilot license, or with no license yet, sends them; a paid copy sends none. Each message holds only that code, the time, a format number for the message, a machine code, the app version, whether the computer is a Mac or Windows, and, if it has one, its signed license or trial token (its number, type, plan and dates, the computer it is for, how many times it has been moved to another computer, and its signature). Never recordings, transcripts, summaries, titles, names, contacts or file paths. You can read them and stop them in the app under Settings, Privacy & data.
- Optional Plaud connection: if you connect it, the app downloads your own recordings from Plaud. We never receive them.
- Optional support message: only when you tick the box to send one.
The public site never receives your recordings. Audio stays on the machine you install on. We store the email and a one-way hash of the password you choose so you can sign in and download. Nothing else. We never receive your recordings, transcripts, or contacts.
License slots
Slots, not a price list
A license is a machine-bound slot. Numbers are not published here yet. The trial starts at the first successfully processed recording.
